I remember the freshly melting snow glistening in the sunlight as it hung from branches, ready to fall to the forest floor...the rushing water as it surged between the river banks...and the woodsy smell that penetrated my nostrils as I made my way down the trail. It was a perfect day.
Sarah and Jeff were getting married.
After they shared a first look, we made our way along the rest of the path till we could see the waterfall. They shared their vows in the midst of nature, with nothing to disturb them other than the gentle roar of the waterfall as they exchanged tearful promises. Although the waterfall prevented me from hearing their vows, I was moved by the raw emotion before me; there was adoration, respect, and genuine love shared between them as they said their vows that was evident even without hearing the words. I think you'll find the same thing when you view these images; although you can't hear the words they say, you can see the love and respect these two so obviously share for one another.
this day was simple, yet meaningful and honest.
