organic storytelling paired with artful imagery.

Hey there! My name is Jessica, but you can call me Jess. I'm Southern born and raised (Georgia to be exact) and I left my hometown three days after graduating to set out for Alaska. I met my husband there, and after getting married we moved to Washington, which is where I call home these days. I have a beautiful little girl named Elsa, and yes, she was Elsa before Disney decided it was cool. I love Jesus and before anything else I serve Him and aim to glorify Him in my work.

Growing up I spent my time riding horses, training them, and that will always be a passion of mine. I have always loved art as well. I spent a lot of time painting when I was younger, before deciding I wasn't an artist. That decision didn't last long and I spent a few years dabbling in digital art before beginning to delve into photography more seriously. I had always loved taking photos, but I really began to see it as more than taking a pretty picture, and as a way to capture stories, elicit emotion, and express my own artistic vision. I was in Alaska when I began pursuing photography more seriously. I fell in love with it, and being able to capture amazing moments for other people. So often we don't realize the value of a moment, until it has passed. And that to me is why photographs are so important, they remind us of things we otherwise have forgotten or taken for granted.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

“People fascinate me. Their bodies. Their brains, their emotions, their ideals, their histories, their choices, and their dreams. Their stories. It all comes back to stories. Everything everywhere is ultimately a story.”
