You made it this far because you felt a connection with my work. More than anything, I believe connection is vital for your wedding photographs, because in order to be authentic in front of the camera, you need to feel comfortable, and it all begins with a connection. Instead of contrived, "Pinterest posey" images, you will have honest, real images that not only showcase your love, but this connection also allows me to get creative, creating artistic and unique images that are more than just something caught on a whim. light and deep shadows are a huge factor in my shooting style as well--I'm always looking out for interesting light. If you think this sounds like you something you're interested and would like more info, please send me a message telling me about you and your wedding day through my contact form here.
All of my collections include an album/print credit to get you started on displaying your photos through heirloom leather albums and archival quality prints. I believe it is so important to have something tangible from your wedding day; something that transcends and outlasts the digital age that we currently live in.
Elopement collections are available for nuptials with less than 10 guests and begin at $2000. These are only available Monday-Thursday during the months of April to October. Weekends may be considered for off season, or if booked within one month of the date.
Portrait session begin at $650.
Do you travel for weddings? Yes, I do! I live in Central Washington, but on average 70% of my weddings occur in Seattle/Western Washington, and about 20% are destination weddings. I offer reduced travel to the Southeast since I am from Georgia and I also offer reduced rates to Alaska since I lived there as well.
Do we get the digital files? Yes, you will receive all of the final edited images on a custom wooden USB for weddings + elopements - depending on your package some files are printable to certain sizes. I also will upload your photos to a gallery which you may order prints through.
Do you sell prints/products/albums? I do sell frame ready prints, canvases, leather albums, and I also offer heirloom wooden photo boxes. All packages include some form of print/album credit and some include the heirloom box that is designed to be a starting point for ordering prints. I truly believe in having something tangible from your wedding day. The digital world is constantly changing and it is nice to have something that will stand the test of time.
Do you use a second shooter? In my bottom package a second shooter is an add-on. I feel completely comfortable shooting alone, especially for smaller weddings. My top two packages do include seconds for part of the day. We can always discuss the details of your day and decide if a second would be beneficial to you or not.
What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have a backup? I use professional Canon gear, and I have backups :).
Do you backup our images after the wedding day? My camera automatically writes to two cards while shooting, and I backup to two externals + online storage after downloading to my computer.
Do you offer engagement photos with your wedding collections? Yes, engagement sessions are included in a couple of my packages. An engagement session is a great way to get to know each other before the wedding day, and of course always makes for some unique images of your relationship outside of the wedding day.
How many images will we receive? For portraits, around 60-75 depending on the length of the session. For weddings, anywhere from 600-800 is an average for a typical wedding day with 8-10 hours of coverage. Elopements average around 200 images.
Are you flexible on your elopement days even though you specified above what days they're available? In almost all circumstances, no. Perhaps, for the travel dates listed, I would photograph an elopement during those dates since I will already be away during a set time, so in that case, yes I am flexible on weekend elopements/etc. Any other flexibility I have with them is stated above, so need to email me about it! :)
When is the best time of day to shoot? For portraits or engagement sessions, I shoot around dawn or dusk. I prefer the look of natural light to flash, and most of my portfolio is made up of that look because it is what I love to shoot. I also recommend scheduling your portraits on the wedding day during an optimal time for lighting, and I'll save the flash for the reception events ;). I always work with my couples to come up with a wedding day timeline for photos, so no worries on having to decide that for yourself.
How do we reserve you for our wedding or portrait session? To reserve a portrait or wedding date, 50% of the package is due at the time of booking.
We want to contact you, what is the best way? Through my contact form on my site, or by email - firstname.lastname@example.org. The more info you include in your email/message, the better! We can also set up a time to chat over the phone after our initial email.
